Getting your real estate license is easy. You must select a reputable and approved correspondence course provider to ensure you are enrolling in the correct courses to apply for your salespersons real estate license. Second, it is imperative that you choose the best program suited to your learning style, meaning online versus classroom.

You’ll need to complete three DRE approved college level courses passing the final exams with a 60% or better to receive a certificate of completion. Last, you will then need to pass the California state exam with a 70% or better to obtain your real estate license.
You can attend our 12-week live or live stream UNLIMITED Group Study Coaching classes as many times as you would like until you pass your California state exam. You may also attend as many 1-Day Live or live stream Prep courses as needed until you are confident in taking and passing the state examination.

There are many opportunities to work while obtaining your real estate license. We strongly encourage you to participate in a local career-night and bring your resume to share with the leadership team. Taking the 1-day prep course teaches you studying techniques, how to find the right answers to their questions and much more than you learned in your pre-licensing coursework. It’s about strategy and technique over the content that you've studied for three months or more! We know you understand the content, now it's important to summarize as much of the complex concepts a possible that we know will be covered on the state test.
You reschedule your test date and we apply better studying techniques, like practicing our 1100+ state exam questions, taking the prep course within 48 hours of your test date and taking an early morning test instead of the afternoon appointments.

To sit for your real estate salesperson exam, you must first complete three college-level courses which are: 

  1. Real Estate Principles, and 

  1. Real Estate Practice, and 

  1. One of the following 12 courses: Real Estate Appraisal, Property Management, Real Estate Finance, Real Estate Economics, Legal Aspects of Real Estate, Real Estate Office Administration, General Accounting, Business Law, Escrows, Mortgage Loan Brokering and Lending, Computer Applications in Real Estate, Common Interest Developments 

For proper credit, college courses must be either three semester units or four quarter units completed at an institution of higher learning accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges or by a comparable regional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education, or by a private real estate school which has had its courses approved by the California Real Estate Commissioner. Courses approved by the Department of Real Estate are a minimum of 45 hours in length. Copies of official transcripts are generally acceptable evidence of completed courses.  

If you completed comparable college courses, submit your transcript along with an official course or catalog description. It will be evaluated for equivalency and determination of credit. Please note, continuing education offerings do not satisfy the college-level course requirements for this examination. 

If you happen to be a member of the California State Baryou are statutorily exempt from the college-level course requirements. However, you must provide a photocopy of both sides of a California State Bar membership card as evidence of admission to practice Law in California. 

Should you provide a transcript showing evidence of having completed the eight statutory college-level courses required for the broker examination and license, you are not required to provide further evidence of experience or education to sit for the salesperson exam. 

If you attended college outside of the United States, the courses must be evaluated by a foreign credentials evaluation service approved by the Department of Real Estate. See Examination Applicant Foreign Education Information (RE 223) .

Age 

You must be 18 years of age or older to be issued a license.

Honesty 

Applicants must be honest and truthful. Conviction of a crime may result in the denial of a license. Failure to disclose any criminal violation or disciplinary action in an applicant's entire history may also result in the denial of a license. Our training facilities are located in Southern California in San Diego, Orange County, the Inland Empire, and Los Angeles County.
Although much cheaper than buying a franchise or starting many other types of businesses, getting into real estate does have some costs. The training program fee starts at $399.00. In addition, there are fees for the real estate sales person application, exam and live scan (fingerprints) required Department of Real Estate (DRE) of an additional $375.00.

There’s a lot of different avenues available to you in the real estate industry. Some you may not even be aware of. Now is the time to attend one of our career night events where you can ask real world questions of seasoned veterans who share their knowledge and experience with you on what to expect.
Once you have completed your courses, which can be done in as soon as 54 days, you will then submit your application to the Department of Real Estate (DRE). Their processing time is around 60 days. Therefore, you can expect to be ready to sit for your salesperson test in about 120 days.
