Originally from Chicago, Dr. Barbara Hart served others as a police officer. In 1997, tired of the cold climate and wanting a change, she relocated to Los Angeles and switched careers. After obtaining her real estate license she went to work and quickly discovered how much she enjoyed working with people in the sale of residential properties ranging from “fixer-uppers,” to condos to luxury homes; as well as investment and commercial properties. Eventually she even opened her own brokerage.
Unlike most real estate professionals, Dr. Hart also worked with the Federal Government’s Core of Engineers and Cal Trans on large industrial projects.
“My other passion is teaching,” shares Dr. Hunt. That explains why over the past 17 years, she’s taught Law, Real Estate Studies, Business Management, Ethics, Paralegal Studies, and Humanities as a part-time University Professor. “I enjoy being instrumental in my students accomplishing their goals.” That may be why she’s received the Distinguished Facility award multiple times - an award voted on by the students at each university.
Dr. Hunt now shares her wealth of knowledge and combines her love of real estate and teaching as part of the faculty at KW Real Estate School, Inc.
